Wet is what so many people have said when they first saw this painting. The banana flower was on one of the trees in my own backyard. I was fascinated by the strange shadows caused by the banana leaves above the flower and by the bees working and taking refuge during a rainy afternoon. I wanted to express a clean beginning. This has taken Best of show and first place award at several shows throughout Florida. It was published in Titusville, Melbourne, Cocoa, Merritt Island, and Homestead newspapers, as well as the Brevard Live Magazine. 40”x30” heavy duty gallery wrapped canvas. |
