The Preacher and his Flock is a 24”x36” rustic framed acrylic on canvas painting of a Florida stork standing in a pond. The Florida stork is sometimes called the Preacher bird because of its dignified posture. Birds of various types including ibis, herons, and egrets are flying in to join him. It almost looks as if they want to hear a sermon. I saw this scene on Merritt Island right after a hurricane flooded what were normally forests. It won awards throughout Brevard County. | |||
